Are you a fan of Fleet Foxes? Wish you could find a band as cool as them? Well look no further! First Aid Kit’s sister duo band has such a wonderful sound, their voices complement each other perfectly with their wispy vocals and folk-like sound. How they have gone unseen is a mystery to me. They are young for having such beautiful songs; they will be 22 and 19 this year. Hopefully we will see more from them soon!

If you are a fan of progressive house and electronic music, Moguai has released Mpire on Mau5trap records yesterday. His style is somewhat more experimental for house music (though by no means truly Experimental as a genre, he is still far from a Daedalus), and is relaxing and enjoyable. Unfortunately no free download, but it is for sale on Beatport.

Everyone needs a good dose of Brit Pop and for all the Brit Pop records I’ve listened to in the past year, I can’t stop listening to The Wombats Proudly Present… This Modern Glitch. Its a fun album with great production and classic song structure with some 21st century add-ons. My favorite track on this album is Techno Fan and it’s a song that you won’t mind getting stuck in your head. Take a listen then pick up all their records because each of ‘em is a great piece of art.

Now you may be thinking to your self, Lupe Fiasco is a rapper he’s not a DJ. That’s correct, but Mr. Fiasco just put out a mixtape rapping over some very infamous dubstep songs like Nero’s “Doomsday” to Bassnectar’s “Lights Remix”. He is definitely not the first rapper to move into the electronic music genre, but the fact that he put out an entire mixtape combining great songs with his lyrics was genius.
